KUALA LUMPUR, 6 September 2026 – MotorManiac Festival 2026 concluded its fifth edition on 6 September at the Rooftop, Level 7, MyTOWN Kuala Lumpur, bringing together automotive enthusiasts, car clubs, builders, creators, collectors and motorsport communities for two days of automotive showcases, competitions, entertainment and community activities.
Organised by Bateriku through its automotive lifestyle platform MotorManiac, the two-day festival on 5 and 6 September featured a diverse line-up spanning modified and performance cars, Japanese and continental builds, classic cars, air suspension, stance, livery, wraps, wheels and custom automotive projects.
MotorManiac Festival 2026 Wraps Up Fifth Edition
The 2026 edition also featured the MotorManiac x DEF JAM Southeast Asia collaboration, Blackened Closet, Mini Diecast Expo, Jom Battle, Keep It Street, Limbo Competition, 2 Step and the launch of the MotorManiac Drift Academy and ASTRA Drift Team.
Celebrating Automotive Builds and Creativity
At the heart of MotorManiac Festival 2026 was its automotive showcase, giving builders and enthusiasts an opportunity to put their cars in the spotlight and compete across a range of categories.
From carefully restored classics and Japanese performance cars to stance builds, air suspension setups, creative wraps and distinctive custom projects, the competition reflected the variety of automotive styles represented within Malaysia's car community.
The festival's award categories recognised both overall presentation and specific aspects of automotive creativity and execution.

The range of categories allowed different types of builds to be recognised, reflecting the breadth of automotive culture represented at MotorManiac Festival.
Competition, Community and Live Entertainment
Beyond the static car showcases, the festival featured activities designed to keep the automotive community engaged throughout the two-day programme.
The Limbo Competition remained one of the festival's signature attractions, challenging participants to demonstrate the stance and setup of their vehicles. The 2 Step segment added another performance-focused element to the automotive programme.
The festival also expanded beyond cars with Jom Battle, Keep It Street and the Mini Diecast Expo, while the MotorManiac x DEF JAM Southeast Asia collaboration brought together automotive and music culture through exclusive merchandise and live performances.
The main stage featured performances from artists including Lil J, Yonnyboii, Ismail Izzani, ALYPH, AbangSapau, SonaOne and Joe Flizzow across the two-day programme.
MotorManiac Drift Academy and ASTRA Drift Team
Another major development at this year's festival was the introduction of the MotorManiac Drift Academy and ASTRA Drift Team.
The MotorManiac Drift Academy was unveiled with the participation of international drifting personalities, including American Formula Drift driver Rome Charpentier, Dutch professional drifter and FIA-certified judge Vernon Zwaneveld, and Indonesian drivers Dika Champion and Alvito Hardianto.
The academy is also a founding member of the World Drift School Alliance (WDSA), connecting Malaysia with drifting communities in Indonesia, the United States and the Netherlands.
The ASTRA Drift Team was introduced alongside the academy, with Mike Faizi and Daleela Dasuki among the sponsored athletes representing the team.
Together, the initiatives mark the continued development of MotorManiac beyond event-based automotive showcases and towards structured participation in motorsport.
