BIGGER, BETTER, BOLDER: 4TH MOTORMANIAC ANNUAL EVENT TARGETS MORE THAN 30,000 VISITORS AT KUALA LUMPUR’S SKYLINE ROOFTOP
Organized by Malaysia’s number 1 Connected Roadside Assistance provider, Bateriku, the press conference brought together a synergy of exciting line up including: main Partners (Astra, UVR, Retro Havoc, Printing, Kahf, GGR Motor) Official Sponsors (Mr Absorber, Kopi Saigon, Driveo, Petronas Lubricant) Streetwear Partners (Headers, Super Sunday, Abstrax, Choii Motorsports) Day Ones Supporters (BWB, Biadap, Downshift, SFS Garage, Indiscrete, Antera Motorsports, 199 Garage, Placed) and media friends from different platforms.
Entertainment on the night was hosted by emcee Killa Driz, Malaysia’s homegrown rapper, who introduced a special guest performer: ChronicalZ, a Desa Pandan–based rapper.
This year’s edition marks MotorManiac’s expansion onto the international stage. Global media partners include CarCvlT from the United Kingdom, a digital collective known for its underground automotive storytelling; Australian motoring journalist and content creator Clay Wong; and Japan’s Tatsu Miyagawa, a respected photographer and tastemaker in JDM car culture.
The main event will transform the MyTown Rooftop on the 6 September into a festival of cars, culture and creativity, with the Kuala Lumpur skyline especially breathtaking at sunset providing a dramatic backdrop. Unlike traditional car meets, MotorManiac has evolved into a cultural movement, where horsepower and lifestyle collide to create a one-of-a-kind experience.
The one-day programme will feature motorsport competitions such as the King of Maniac challenge, the ASTRA Cup: 2 Step Competition and the Car Limbo Contest. Other attractions include a Mini Diecast Expo for collectors and families, and a rooftop hip-hop concert featuring ALYPH, EEMRUN, Dann N Qrack and 53 Universe.
The ASTRA Cup is a newly introduced challenge trophy, with each year’s winner having their name engraved on the cup until the following edition crowns a new champion, adding prestige and tradition to the MotorManiac legacy.
This year also introduces a Lucky Draw contest. For every 1x MotorManiac merchandise purchased on the main day, visitors will receive 1 raffle ticket, while every purchase of two Bateriku vouchers (worth of RM40* each) also qualifies for 1 raffle ticket. The 3x lucky winner will bring back an EV Bike by GGR Motors.
Last year’s edition drew around 30,000 visitors across two days, but organisers expect the same level of attendance to be concentrated into one day, creating what they describe as a “festival-like atmosphere. ”
Unlike previous years, when the event was spread across two days, the MotorManiac Annual 2025 will be held in a single day, promising a packed schedule from 10 a.m. to midnight.
The Don of MotorManic, Mikhail Faizi, also known as Mike, said the event has grown beyond its roots as a car meet.
“The heart of MotorManiac has always been about more than cars. It’s about lifestyle, culture, and community. By bringing it all together on a single rooftop with KL’s skyline as our backdrop, we are creating a one-day festival that will be alive from morning till midnight. The ASTRA Cup and our global media partners are proof that what started as a local movement is now resonating on the world stage. ”
General admission tickets are priced at RM20, while entry is free for children under 12 and persons with disabilities. Get you tickets here: rakanbateriku
